Children’s Stories

John is an 11 year old boy who lives in skid row.  He is not able to control his anger effectively and finds it easier to hit or shut down.  He has had a hard time in class lately and provokes fights 2 or 3 times an hour.  When he left the room crying after striking another student I followed close behind with our small 5 pound poodle.  Frank was unwilling to talk or communicate in any way.  He was determined to block us out.  So I quickly asked if he wanted to hold Pali, the dog.  He shook his head, no.  so I rephrased the question.  “Could you watch Pali for me while I go into the classroom?”  He nodded his head in affirmation.

As I laid the small blind dog in his lap he wiped the tears from his eyes and began to stroke her.  When I came back he was open to talking with the other student about what had happened.  While holding Pali he was able to resolve the situation and then share Pali with the student he had been fighting with.  They did not fight again that day.

Thanks Pali!

  1. Ray Polasky Says:

Lisa, Ireceived a dream about a peacock in a House basement it lived in a pit, inthe corner of afilthy room, there was animal waste and the floor was slippery, the peacock came out ot pit.. its beautiful plummege draged on the floor.it was a very friendly peacock.. it follwed me up a white carpted steps, leaving a trail of filth with it up the stairs.. it entered a kitchen it’s tail draged over the floor, leaving a trail of waste..The Lady of the House greeted it with a nice favor she didn;t care about the house being dirty, and welcomed the bird, suprizing me.. For she kept a very clean house, no reaction to the mess it made.. just a lot of love,,,
The next thing I saw was Two beautifull Boys with curly blond hair.. the peacock had turned into two boys ,! they were sitll filthy but the love transfered to the boys .. these boys would not be welcomed by society, because of their condition.. these boys with the women’s help became socially excepted and educated by the women, she fostered them and they later became college graduates serving the community..
Well thats the end of my dream.. Waiting to hear from you Lisa! Ray
